Kitchen cabinet cutting list
Every kitchen starts with a cutting list: sides, bottoms, tops, shelves, doors and backs, each with size, quantity and edging. In Verneer you type it, import it or generate it from ready-made cabinet modules.
How to write a cutting list
For each unit list the panels with length (along the grain), width and quantity, and mark the edged sides. Group by material: 16 mm melamine for carcasses, 3 mm hardboard for backs.
Check the sizes that depend on each other: the bottom fits between the sides, so its width is the unit width minus two board thicknesses.
Modules that write the panels for you
On the Pro plan, base, wall, drawer and wardrobe modules generate the panels and the hardware from width, height and depth. You can also paste from Excel, import CSV or PDF, or dictate panels by voice.
From cutting list to installed kitchen
- A fast grid on desktop and a keypad on the phone
- Cabinet modules with panels and hardware (Pro plan)
- Edging per side, deducted from the cutting size
- Copy and paste panels between jobs and from Excel
- Branded PDF quotes in rand (Pro plan)
- Cutting plans and labels with every panel name
Cutting list questions
Which dimension is the length?
Length runs along the grain of the board. For plain panels that may rotate, the order does not change the result.
Can I import my Excel cutting list?
Yes. Paste the rows into Verneer or import a CSV or XLSX file; PDF lists can be imported too.
