VERNEER

CNC nesting for boards

A CNC router can cut anywhere on the board. Verneer nests your panels freely, keeps tool spacing between them and exports each board as DXF for your CAM software.

Nesting or guillotine?

Panel saws only make straight cuts edge to edge, so their plans are guillotine layouts. A CNC can place panels anywhere, which usually means less waste.

Choose the machine for each job and compare both plans when your workshop has a saw and a CNC.

From plan to machine

Every board can be exported as DXF with the panels where the plan put them. Panels get QR labels for assembly, and large offcuts are measured and used first on the next job.

Built for CNC workshops

  • Free nesting with tool spacing
  • Grain respected on doors and fronts
  • DXF export per board (Pro plan)
  • QR labels for every panel
  • Offcut stock used first
  • The same job also gives a guillotine plan

CNC nesting questions

Does Verneer replace my CAM software?

No. It nests the panels and exports each board as DXF; toolpaths still come from your CAM software.

Does nesting respect the grain?

Yes. Panels with fixed grain never rotate; plain panels can rotate to fit better.
