Cabinet cut list generator
Every cutting plan starts with a cut list: sides, bottom, top, shelves, doors and back, each with size, quantity and edge banding. In Verneer you type it, import it or generate it from ready-made cabinet modules.
How to write a cabinet cut list
For each cabinet list the parts with length (along the grain), width and quantity, and mark which edges get banding. Group by material and thickness: 3/4" plywood for the box, 1/4" for the back.
Check the sizes that depend on each other: the bottom fits between the sides, so its width is the cabinet width minus two material thicknesses. A mistake there repeats on every part.
Modules that write the parts for you
On the Pro plan, base, wall, drawer and wardrobe modules generate the parts list and the hardware from width, height and depth. Adjust anything and the list goes straight into the cutting plan.
You can also paste from Excel, import CSV or PDF, dictate parts by voice or copy parts from another project.
From cut list to finished cabinets
- A fast grid on desktop and a measurement keypad on the phone
- Cabinet modules with parts and hardware (Pro plan)
- Edge banding per edge, deducted from the cutting size
- Copy and paste parts between projects and from Excel
- Branded PDF quotes (Pro plan)
- Cutting diagrams and labels with every part name
Cut list questions
Which dimension is the length?
Length runs along the grain of the sheet. For plain parts that may rotate, the order does not change the result.
Can I import my Excel cut list?
Yes. Copy the rows from Excel and paste them into Verneer, or import a CSV or XLSX file. PDF lists can be imported too.
Does Verneer list the hardware?
With the Pro plan cabinet modules, yes: hinges, slides and handles come out with the parts.
